Halo 3 Sandbox Revealed!

Rumor is that this image, is of Sandbox. A new map from Bungie's Mythic Map Pack that is set to release with the Halo Wars Special Edition. There is no confirmation that this is real but if you remember that drawing that was posted on the bungie.net weekly update it resembled Sandtrap at night and I think this is the perfect match.

Update: Bungie has confirmed that this is the true Sandbox and posted a high quality picture on their gallery.

speculation ran wild on the Halo 3 thread over at NeoGAF. Luke Smith said in response to the image, "
Hmph. That looks way different than the Sandbox on Shishka's screen."

Update: Sketch responded on HBO:

"Well, if that media release had been posted tomorrow, as it was supposed to have been, then it would be available in English as well and you'd all have a bit more insight and context to go along with that screenshot. I'd love to forge ahead, but we're not supposed to talk about or acknowledge this until tomorrow."

This doesnt look like a finished map if it is a map. The objects dont fit right.

Looks real to me! Notice how the bases and stuff seem to be made of a bunch of blocks. Meet foundry 2.0.
